Auto import publication information when adding a paper

Is there a mechanism to pull in information on publications from PubMed or MedRxiv using the PubMed Id or doi etc?

What do you want to be able to do?
I would like to auto-import paper publication info, e.g. title, authors, journal, year etc as soon as I add a URL.

Why is this important?
This is how Researchfish pull in information on publications and allows any updates to publication information to be kept up-to-date easily in the relevant database. The current mechanism is time consuming and laborious (copy and paste) and could easily become out of date if not frequently reviewed.

Any suggestions for how we could solve this?
Import and fill the fields for a paper automatically on the gateway
