Improve search experience on the Gateway

From Amanda Lucas:

Just been reviewing the Gateway search criteria again and noticed the following which may be impacting Discover-NOW:

  • There is no key word search for ‘integrated data’
  • ‘Longitudinal data’ does not bring up Discover-NOW in the search only a women’s tissue data set
  • Discover- NOW location is a listing of the NWL CCGs which will not be commonly know or understood - suggest this is changed to London or North West London
  • There is no key word search for ‘real world data’
  • Discover-NOW is still listed as a set of separate regional data sets rather than one of the richest linked data assets in the UK
  • Discover-NOW is the only Hub on the second page on the Hub Collections area – which I couldn’t find initially… [presume these are rotated]

Hi @susheel.varma, we discussed Amanda’s requests in our prioritisation session. May I ask you to relay the following feedback to Amanda?

We can assume that a majority of these changes/fixed were made after this request was raised.

  • There is no key word search for ‘integrated data’ - Integrated Care is now a keyword, and when searched the Gateway shows a number of DISCOVER-NOW datasets
  • ‘Longitudinal data’ does not bring up Discover-NOW in the search only a women’s tissue data set - This keyword is now returning DISCOVER-NOW datasets as the keyword ‘Linked longitudinal’ is listed for these datasets
  • Discover- NOW location is a listing of the NWL CCGs which will not be commonly know or understood - suggest this is changed to London or North West London - Dataset names are now showing as North West London.
  • There is no key word search for ‘real world data’ - Real world data keyword is now in the gateway and is a keyword for the Discover-NOW datasets.
  • Discover-NOW is still listed as a set of separate regional data sets rather than one of the richest linked data assets in the UK - appears to be fixed
  • Discover-NOW is the only Hub on the second page on the Hub Collections area – which I couldn’t find initially… [presume these are rotated] - Collections on theme pages aren’t rotated but with the new homepage design the DISCOVER-NOW hub will be on the first page as we will be displaying 8 datasets per page. Approximate release of Homepage is in May, pending development time.
